June 27th Rain-Outs Rescheduled...Please note
July 12, 2010 Please review the Regular Season Schedule and note the following changes. The following games that were not able to start due to rain and field conditions on Friday July 9th have been reassigned to the following dates, times and parks. Also, Game #8 (PPD-Rain) has now been rescheduled BVB GMs, please communicate these dates to your players as soon as possible. Game8 – Yankees vs. Brewers, Tuesday August 3rd, 6:00 p.m. Nelson Game85 - Cardinals vs. Yankees, Friday August 13th, 6:00 p.m. Nelson Game86 – Braves vs. X-Men, Friday August 13th, 8:30 p.m. Nelson Game87 – Giants vs Cubs, Friday August 13th, 6:00 p.m. Ireland ‘C’ Game88 – Hobos vs Tigers, Friday August 13th, 8:30 p.m. Ireland ‘C’

Sun shines on BVB...
July 12, 2010 On Sat. July 10th, B.V.B. held its 4th annual League Golf tournament at Carlisle Golf and Country Club. A combination of great weather and participation by members and friends of B.V.B. made this day a tremendous success! This tournament is a chance for all members and friends to enjoy a great day of golf, food, drinks and prizes and contribute to the future of both the Club program and that of the Travel program (49ers); as all are aware at the end of the Month B.V.B will send 2 teams to represent the league at the Canadian Nationals in Vancouver B.C. (35+ Black 49ers) (44+ Grey 49ers) If we can carry over the success of this day to the Nationals out West and the conclusion of the B.V.B season than one can only suggest that all buckle up as we will be in for a hell of a ride!! A big thanks to Golf chair Jason Riesberry (Tigers), Terry Wilkinson (Marauders), Jay Lack (Hobos), Steve Austin (Tigers), Jason Saker (Cardinals) and there tireless group of volunteers who spent months collecting prizes, and sponsorships and ensured that every detail was looked after on game day. And last but certainly not least the Sponsors, whose tremendous generosity and ongoing support have assisted on leaving a mark on the present and future success of our great league. 2010 All-Star Team & Players Announced.
June 28, 2010 This years 2010 Burlington Vintage Baseball All-Star selections were named this week. After all teams had completed at least 10 games the 1st place MudHens and 2nd place Cardinals were set to take the lead in coaching the game itself. With the teams divided based on the standings it looked to have the player selections from the Hens, Hobos, Red Sox, Giants, Yankees and Cubs play against the All-Stars from the Cardinals, Brewers, Marauders, Tigers, Braves and X-Men. Due to player availability, injury and all around soreness it was decided that the game itself would not be played. However, the first half season play of these fine players needed to be recognized by publishing each team’s selections; the choices are the following. Congratulations to all. Jason McKay |

Scheduling Change...Please note
June 10, 2010 Please review the Regular Season Schedule and note the following changes. Game 89 of the MudHens vs. Red Sox game previously scheduled for Friday July 9th @ 6:00pm at Ireland 'D' and Game 90 of the Brewers vs. Marauders game previously scheduled for Friday July 9th @ 8:30pm at Ireland 'D' have been moved to Thursday July 8th @ 6:00pm and 8:30pm at Ireland 'D' respectively. This change is due to an availability conflict with a large BOMBA Youth Tournament that the BVB is assisting with accommodating in the spirit of our relationship between both Burlington Sports Organizations. All other schedule BVB games on Friday July 9th are NOT affected. Jay Hodgson |
4th Annual BVB Golf Day is "Locked & Loaded"
May 27, 2010 Our 4th Annual BVB Golf Day is set for Saturday July 10th, once again at Carlisle Golf and Country Club. The cost this year is $150.00 and includes your round of golf, cart, lunch, dinner, prize pack and door prizes. Once again we will be holding our Silent Auction during the evening, and as in past years, we promise to have many great deals available!! Dinner only tickets are also available at a cost of $40.00. Your BVB Golf Committee will accept cash or cheque payable to BVB as payment. The 2010 BVB Golf Committee will be approaching all teams/players in the next couple of weeks asking for your involvement and participation. We are expecting to sell out this event so be sure to purchase your tickets early. This event benefits all members of the BVB, not strictly our BVB Nationals program. This past year we have seen an increase in our park costs, the funds raised from the event last year helped offset this increase. This event is truly for all BVB members!! This event does not just happen over night, we need your support. Please consider sponsoring, donating silent auction items or door prizes. If you are in a position to help, the BVB Golf Committee is available to assist you make this happen. With the support of our entire league body, we can truly make this another great BVB event. The golf committee will see you at the ball park, and please, if you have any questions regarding how you can help, please do not hesitate to contact any of us along way.
